A man and a woman were badly injured Friday when a vehicle crashed into several parked cars and then overturned and caught fire in the West Hills area, authorities said.
Paramedics sent to the 22900 block of Roscoe Boulevard about 10:30 a.m. took the pair, in their 20s, to a hospital for treatment, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“At least three vehicles became engulfed with flames, including the vehicle with the two patients inside,” said Amy Bastman of the LAFD.
The woman got out of the vehicle on her own, but firefighters had to free the man from the burning vehicle, Bastman said.
The woman was listed in serious condition and the man was listed in critical condition, Bastman said.
