A person who apparently jumped into the San Gabriel River in Norwalk Monday was pulled from the water in extremely critical condition, an official said.
Firefighters responded about 4:30 p.m. to a report that someone had jumped into the river in the area of Rosecrans Avenue and the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch supervisor said.
The male patient was pulled from the water and was in “extremely critical” condition when taken to a hospital, the supervisor said.
