Authorities Tuesday identified a woman who was killed when a car collided with a big rig on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Monterey Park.
The crash was reported at 1:19 a.m. Monday on the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway at the connector to the Long Beach (710) Freeway.
Jessica Martinez, 28, of Rosemead died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol the black sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash and that it overturned.
Three eastbound lanes were closed for about four hours while an investigation was conducted.
