Police Monday surrounded a Pasadena restaurant where a possibly armed employee was thought to be barricaded, but he was not inside.
Police responded around 7:30 a.m. to the Reyn Cafe in the 600 block of North Lake Avenue, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

Officers entered the building around midday and determined the man was not inside, police said.
Lake Avenue had been closed between Orange Grove Boulevard and Santa Barbara Street as a precaution, but the stretch was reopened when the building was cleared.
