A man found dead near a bike path in Montebello committed suicide, authorities said Thursday.
The body was discovered by a passerby about 1:35 a.m. near the Rio Hondo Riverbed in the general area of Bluff Road and Roosevelt Avenue, according to police and reports from the scene.
The man appeared to have been in his 30s. The death was classified as a suicide, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
