A woman who died in a two-vehicle crash in Sun Valley was publicly identified Monday.
She was Reyna De La Paz Flores, 46, of Sun Valley.
The crash was reported at 6:50 p.m. Sunday on Laurel Canyon Boulevard at Sheldon Street, according to officials at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
Flores was driving a black 2015 Honda Civic from the Sheldon Street off-ramp from the Golden State (5) Freeway, police said. She was struck by a 2000 Audi A4 headed south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard at a high rate of speed.
Flores was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Audi driver, identified as 20-year-old Sun Valley resident Stacey Martell Elliot, suffered minor injuries, police said. He was treated at a hospital.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 7:53 p.m., shutting down offramps from the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway at Sheldon Street for the police investigation. The ramps reopened at about 10:25 p.m.
