A 7-Eleven store clerk was shot in the leg Wednesday while running after a man who stole several cases of beer from the business, police said.
The shooting occurred about 12:25 a.m. in the 5900 block of Washington Boulevard, the Culver City Police Department reported.

The clerk, whose name was not released, was treated at a hospital and released.
According to police, the clerk was trying to catch the suspect, who was running with the beer toward a getaway car, when an accomplice inside the vehicle shot him.
The suspects fled in a possible late-model white Honda Civic hatchback.
