Investigators Saturday sought help from the public in tracking down whoever killed one man and wounded another in a closing time shooting in the parking lot behind a Bellflower bar.
The dead man was identified as Jesus Eduardo Angulo, 20, of Los Angeles, said Lt. Rudy Molano of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The shots rang out just before 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 in the 17400 block of Virginia Avenue, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Deputies dispatched to the scene regarding a possible gunshot victim found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Deputy Grace Medrano of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The shooting occurred at closing time in the parking lot behind the “Bottoms Up Bar,” where unknown suspects shot Angulo and another man after an argument, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
Angulo, who went by the nickname “Yayo,” was pronounced dead at the scene and the other man was rushed to a hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.
No suspect information has been made available.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (323) 890-5500.
