A 45-year-old man shot to death at an apartment complex in the Willowbrook area near Compton was publicly identified Tuesday.
He was Nathaniel Grace of Compton, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
The shooting was reported at 3:52 a.m. Monday in the 12000 block of South Willowbrook Ave., Deputy Joana Warren of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Deputies dispatched to the apartment complex regarding a gunshot victim found Grace suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Warren said.
After the shooting, the suspect ran from the apartment complex and possibly to a white sedan, which sped southbound on Willowbrook Avenue, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
