Authorities Tuesday identified a motorcyclist who was fatally injured in a crash involving another vehicle in Inglewood.

The crash occurred about 6:20 p.m. Sunday on Manchester Boulevard near Tamarack Avenue, Inglewood Police Traffic Investigator Ryan Green said.

Hershel Peters, 34, died at a hospital, the coroner’s office reported. His home town was not known.

The motorcycle was going east on Manchester Avenue when it collided with a vehicle that was making a turn, Green said.

There was no indication that the other motorist, who remained at the scene, was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Green said. Anyone with information on the crash was urged to call police at (310) 412-5134.
