
An overnight driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint that wrapped up Saturday in Pomona netted four motorists arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Also, 40 motorists were either arrested or cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while on a suspended or revoked license, the Pomona Police Department reported.
The checkpoint was at Garey and Lexington avenues. It began at 7 p.m. Friday and ended Saturday at 3 a.m.
Police said 1,463 vehicles were screened at the checkpoint.
