Flames Monday damaged a 92-year-old house in the Manchester Square area of South Los Angeles and injured one of the responding firefighters, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 12:38 a.m. at 1942 West 84th Place, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
It took 35 firefighters 26 minutes to put out the flames, Humphrey said. First arriving firefighters reported the bulk of flames were in the rear of the 1,278 square-foot home.
No civilians were injured, but one firefighter suffered a non-life threatening burn injury to his ears, Humphrey said. He was taken to a specialty hospital for treatment.
