
Three men were shot and wounded early this morning in South El Monte, apparently at a bar, according to the sheriff’s department.
The sheriff’s Temple station received a call about 2:30 a.m. about a gunshot victim in the 1900 block of Tyler Avenue, Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez said. That man suffered a gunshot wound to his chest. They also received a call about another gunshot victim, about five blocks away in the 9200 block of Garvey Avenue. That victim was hit in the chest, and he suffered a head injury, Navarro-Suarez said.

A third man drove himself to the hospital after suffering a leg wound, she said.
“There was possibly a bar shooting (in the area of Rosemead and Garvey), Deputy Trina Schrader said, adding that all three victims were expected to survive.

There’s no word yet if the shootings were gang-related, Navarro-Suarez said.
The shooter remains at large and there was no available suspect description.
