Police in Placentia Saturday said they have apprehended a fifth suspect in connection with a January 2017 shooting death of a 35- year-old man.

Gregory David Munoz, 30, was arrested Thursday at work in Corona, in the 200 block of East Rincon Street, Placentia Police Sgt. Chris Anderson said.

Authorities believe Munoz had a hand in the shooting death of Robert Rios, 35, who was killed about 11:40 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2017 in the 900 block of Vista Avenue, Anderson said.

“The shooting was captured on surveillance cameras and released to the media on March 7, 2017,” he said, adding that the three weapons used in the shooting are still outstanding.

Augustin Velasquez, 20; Charles Coghill, 33; Ricardo Valenzuela, 37 and Israel Cordova have been arrested in connection with the shooting death, he said.

“All five suspects remain in custody at the Orange County Jail without bail,” Anderson said.

The Placentia Police Department asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (714) 993-8187.
