A woman on a motorcycle was killed after she apparently clipped a car and crashed Sunday evening in Riverside, a lieutenant said.
The crash on La Sierra Venue was reported at 6:53 p.m., Riverside police Lt. Dan Hoxmeier told City News Service.
The woman died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Hoxmeier said the woman apparently clipped the car in her attempt to pass it.
Southbound traffic on La Sierra Avenue between Schuyler and Collett avenues was closed for death and accident investigations, Hoxmeier said. Northbound traffic was unimpeded.
No other injuries were reported.
