Two men were wounded Monday afternoon in a shooting in South Los Angeles, the second in the same Leimert Park neighborhood in about 90 minutes.

Officers called about 5:30 p.m. to the area of Vernon and Third avenues where they found the victims, according to Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Section.

Both men were taken to a hospital, where they were in stable condition, Lopez said.

Investigators believe the shooting was possibly gang-related, according to Lopez, who did not elaborate.

No suspect information was available, he said.

The shooting occurred about 90 minutes after a man in his 30s was wounded in the area of Vernon and Sixth avenues. That victim was hospitalized in stable condition, according to the LAPD.

It was not immediately clear if the two shootings were related, Lopez said.
