Four juvenile suspects were arrested Thursday after leading authorities on a chase from Irwindale to Covina in a stolen vehicle.
An officer attempted to stop a burgundy 2016 Hyundai Sonata for a vehicle code violation at 9:53 a.m. in the 5200 block of Rivergrade Road but the car failed to stop and sped away from the officer onto the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, said Irwindale police Sgt. Rudy Gatto.
The chase continued on to West Covina and Covina, where the vehicle crashed into a parked car in the area of Enid Avenue and Gragmont Street, Gatto said.
Three juvenile suspects were taken into custody at the scene without incident and a fourth was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit, Gatto said.
The suspect who ran suffered minor injuries as a result of jumping over a fence, Gatto added. He was treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and was later taken to the hospital as a precaution.
No other suspects, officers or civilians were injured.
Detectives discovered the vehicle had been stolen from Glendale, Gatto said.
