The driver was westbound Artesia Boulevard when he hit two eastbound cars before his vehicle traveled off the road, police said. The vehicle then struck a light pole and a fire hydrant before it plowed into a restaurant.
No one was in the restaurant at the time of the crash and none of the other drivers whose cars were struck were injured, police said.
The drunken driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He is expected to be arrested on suspicion of DUI once he is released, police said.
Artesia Boulevard was closed from Casimir Avenue to Van Ness Avenue for a crash investigation.
