A man and woman accused of burglarizing a UC Irvine campus apartment face multiple felony charges, a university spokesman said Thursday.

Stuart Lorence Oki, 32, of Baldwin Park and Cinthia Joane Vasquez, 28, of Hawaiian Gardens, were arrested Saturday following a routine traffic stop, according to UCI spokesman Tom Vasich.

UCI officers who pulled the duo over found they had warrants for their arrests, Vasich said. At the time of the arrest, investigators were responding to a burglary of the apartment, and the property stolen in the break-in was in the suspects’ car, Vasich alleged.

Mail was also reported stolen from student mailboxes on campus as well, Vasich said.

Vasquez is charged with four felony counts of burglary and a count of vandalism, all felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of possession of burglary tools, obtaining personal identification through mail theft, possession of a stun gun with a prior conviction and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Oki is charged with four counts of burglary and a count of vandalism, all felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of falsely representing himself to an officer, possession of burglary tools, obtaining personal identification through mail theft, possession of a stun gun with a prior conviction and driving on a suspended license.
