A motorist was injured Wednesday morning when he struck several poles in Long Beach.
The crash was reported just after 2 a.m. in the area of Cherry Avenue and Market Street, said Lt. Doug Davidson of the Long Beach Police Department.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition, Davidson said.
The vehicle struck several light poles and a power pole, he said. The cause of the crash was being investigated.
Motorists are advised to avoid Cherry Avenue between Market and Rogers streets until at least 10 a.m. as crews make repairs, according to Davidson.
