A man was shot to death Tuesday in Compton and detectives need the public’s help locating the shooter or shooters.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies received a shots fired call about 12:30 a.m. and went to the 700 block of North Chester Avenue, where they found a man who had been shot at least once in the upper torso, according to Deputy Trina Schraeder with the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
There is no known motive for the crime and detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the sheriff’s homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.
