An investigation is underway Thursday into an officer-involved shooting in a gated community in Porter Ranch.

Officers received a call around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday of a domestic disturbance in the 20000 block of Sardinia Avenue and found a woman who had been stabbed and a man holding a sharp object, according to Officer Christopher No of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

Officers ordered the man several times to drop the object and used non-lethal force, including a taser, to get the man to comply, but he charged officers and an officer-involved shooting occurred, No said.

The suspect and the victim were taken to the hospital and are both listed in stable condition, he said.

It’s unclear what the relationship is between the man and woman.

No officers were hurt in the incident.
