A man was shot to death in Pico Rivera and detectives are investigating the incident Friday morning.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Pico Rivera station responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 7100 block of Pico Vista Road, according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff’s Department.
Upon arrival, deputies were told by residents that they had heard gunshots in the area, she said.
The victim was found on the street in front of a home and pronounced dead at the scene from at least one gunshot to the torso, Schrader said.
A description of the suspect or suspects was not available and no weapon was recovered.
