A Lake Forest man was arrested in connection with a Garden Grove bank robbery, authorities said Sunday.

Miguel “Mike” Casillas, 34, was booked into the Orange County jail Saturday after his arrest at a bridge near his Lake Forest home, Garden Grove police Sgt. J. Brown said.

Casillas was identified through social media posts of surveillance photos, Brown said. Deputies responding to his home were told by family members he had walked away and was believed suicidal.

He was accused of robbing the HSBC Bank at 2:30 p.m. Friday at 9622 Garden Grove Blvd., Brown said. The suspect showed the teller a written message on his cellular phone demanding money, and while no weapon was mentioned, the teller feared he might be armed and gave him $650.
