A man was shot and killed in the unincorporated Willowbrook area near Compton and authorities searched Wednesday for his killer.
Deputies assigned to Century Station responded at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of East 129th Street and located the victim who sustained at least one gunshot wound in the upper torso, according to Deputy Martin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Crowder said.
A detailed description of the suspect or a motive for the crime was not immediately available. It is unknown if the shooting is gang related, Crowder said.
