A 72-year-old Riverside man who sexually molested two girls was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in state prison.
Keith William Pust pleaded guilty last month to four counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 years old.
No charges were dismissed under the plea agreement, which Riverside County Superior Court Judge John Molloy certified, imposing the sentence stipulated by the prosecution and defense.
Pust was arrested last December following an investigation by the Riverside Police Department’s Sexual Assault Child Abuse unit.
According to Officer Ryan Railsback, detectives were informed in early November that two children under 10 years old — identified in court documents only as Jane Does No. 1 and No. 2 — had been sexually abused by the defendant on several occasions in the previous two years.
Railsback said Pust encountered the victims while working in a capacity that put him into regular contact with children, though he would not disclose the type of work or specify where the acts of molestation occurred.
Pust had no documented prior felony convictions.
