Police Saturday arrested a man who ran naked from a home in Compton where a teenage girl and a man were shot and killed and a woman was wounded.

The shooting was reported at 6 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Palmer Street, Detective Tony Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. When deputies arrived, they found the man and girl both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Moore said.

The man was identified as Eddie Talley Jr., 65, and Brittany Malone, 13, coroner’s Lt. David Smith said.

The wounded woman had been shot in the upper torso, police said. She was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

“My sister was shot twice,” Taylor Murrell, the brother of the wounded woman, told reporters at the scene. “My niece is dead and (my sister’s) husband is dead. (My sister’s) husband’s son shot them all.”

A man was detained by officers, Moore said.

Deputies identified the suspect as Jamie Williams, 43, according to KCBS2.

Williams was booked into the Compton sheriff’s station at 3 a.m. and was being held in lieu of $2 million bail at the sheriff’s Inmate Reception Center, according to sheriff’s inmate records.

“That was the person described by witnesses as running out of the house naked,” sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza told NBC4.

A handgun was recovered at the scene, but a motive for the shooting was not available.
