Two men have been arrested in the death of a man in Lake Forest on Monday, officials said Tuesday evening.
The victim was described as a male Hispanic in his 20s. Further identification is pending notification of next of kin.
Deputies responded to a call at the Forest Glen apartments on Farthing Street shortly before 6 a.m. Monday, where a resident reported seeing a male “collapsed outside in a courtyard with significant wounds,” said Carrie Braun, public information officer for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Further investigation by homicide investigators led to the arrest of two suspects, Jose Andrade-Membreno, 22, and Xiomara Berrios, 18. Both were arrested and booked into Orange County Jail early Tuesday. They are being held on $1 million bail and are expected to be arraigned this week, Braun said.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information related to the case is urged to call (714) 647-7000. Anonymous tips can be submitted to OC Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
