Police in Brea Wednesday searched for a missing 48-year-old delivery driver from Upland who was reported missing by his employer.

Officers responded about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Midbury Street and Sandalwood Drive after being contacted by Cole Barrett’s employer who said he had not checked in as was his routine, according to Brea police.

“There’s been absolutely no contact, it’s just like he’s disappeared,” Barrett’s wife, Julene, told NBC4. “So we don’t know what’s going on.”

Brea police detectives conducted a house-to-house search, but were unable to find Barrett, police said.

“The hills just north of this area were then searched with the assistance of (the) Anaheim Police Department’s helicopter and a Pomona police bloodhound,” police said. “Unfortunately, officers were not able to locate him.”

Barrett is white, 5 feet 8 and 195 pounds, with brown hair, a mustache, a goatee and hazel eyes, according to Brea police. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a logo, denim pants, black belt and boots and, possibly, an orange work vest.

Barrett’s cellphone and wallet were left inside the delivery truck he was driving, NBC4 said.

Anyone with information regarding Barrett’s whereabouts was urged to call Brea police at (714) 990-7625.
