Four people were killed in a four-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley and one other person was hospitalized, authorities said Wednesday.
The crash occurred about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and 56th Street, according to a statement from the Riverside County Fire Department.
Four people died at the scene and one other person was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. Van Buren Boulevard is closed from Jurupa Road to Limonite Road.
The names of the victims were not immediately available.
