One person was ejected from a vehicle and killed Thursday morning in a multiple vehicle crash on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway transition to the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar.

Authorities received the first call of a crash about 12:25 a.m. and the first units arrived on scene at 12:32 a.m and stopped traffic, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

A person who had been ejected from one of the vehicles was located and pronounced dead by Los Angeles County firefighters, Kimball said.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released and it was unclear exactly how many vehicles were involved in the collision. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A SigAlert was issued for the northbound Orange Freeway transition to the eastbound Pomona Freeway and for the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the eastbound Pomona Freeway until further notice.
