Two men and one woman were taken into custody Friday morning after deputies in Norwalk stopped a suspected stolen vehicle and found possible stolen items inside and a gun that may be linked to a gang-related shooting.

Around 12:30 a.m., deputies on patrol near Pioneer Boulevard and Imperial Highway spotted a black Nissan sedan that had been reported stolen and pulled the vehicle over, according to Lt. Robin Limon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk Station.

A search of the vehicle turned up items that may have been used for robberies in the city, as well as some possible stolen items, she said.

One of the men taken into custody was armed with a gun, Limon said. The gun and vehicle may be linked to a gang-related shooting in the city on Thursday.

Details of that shooting were not immediately available.
