Police Monday sought the public’s help to identify a driver who struck and injured a 75-year-old man last month in an Atwater Village parking lot and then left the scene.
Images and video of the suspect and his pickup truck were recorded by surveillance cameras and disseminated by the Los Angeles Police Department in hopes of determining the motorist’s identity.
The victim was struck about 4:25 p.m. on Oct. 7 in a parking lot near the 2900 block of Los Feliz Boulevard. The suspect was driving a gray 2000-2019 Dodge Ram that hit the victim’s left shoulder. The vehicle’s driver’s side mirror was damaged, police said.
The suspect stopped momentarily, then drove off, according to the LAPD, which described him as a possibly Armenian man about 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and around 180 pounds.
Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to call Detective Moses Castillo of the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division at (213) 833-3713. After hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7.
