Firefighters in Alhambra Friday battled a well-involved blaze in a commercial structure on the city’s Main Street, authorities said.

The two-alarm fire was reported at 11:40 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of East Main Street, a Verdugo Fire Communications dispatcher said.

Flames were visible coming from the roof in a photo posted on social media by police.

The fire was out by 3:30 a.m. but the exact knockdown time was not available, the fire dispatcher said. No injuries were available.

Main Street was shut down in the area, police said.
