A man was killed Thursday morning during a car-to-car shooting in the Central-Alameda area of South Los Angeles.

Police responded about 12:20 a.m. to the area near East 41st Place and Morgan Avenue and located the victim inside a vehicle, according to Officer A. Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim suffered several gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, NBC4 reported.

A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.
