A motorcyclist was critically injured early Wednesday in a crash in Hawthorne, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 1:18 a.m. on northbound Prairie Avenue at Jack Northrop Avenue, Hawthorne police Lt. Ti Goetz said.
Firefighters and police officers found the motorcyclist down after he crashed, Goetz said. An investigation is underway to determine what the man crashed into, and why.
A SigAlert was issued for northbound Prairie Avenue from Jack Northrop Avenue to West 120th Street.
