A 26-year-old homeless man shot to death near the Metro Blue Line train in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles was publicly identified Monday.
He was Ramiro Lima, coroner’s Investigator Kristy McCracken said.
The shooting was a little before 3:25 a.m. Sunday in the area of 43rd Street and Long Beach Avenue, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eisenman said the homicide is not believed to be gang-related, but no other immediate information was immediately released.
