Police found a kidnapped 20-month-old toddler safe and still inside a stolen SUV parked on a Venice street.

The car thief remains at large. The Los Angeles Police Department has released video of the suspect at its twitter account – @LAPDHQ.

The toddler’s mother parked the 2017 Honda outside a store in the 13400 block of Maxella Avenue in Marina del Rey. She then went inside a store for about 20 minutes, leaving her child inside the vehicle, LAPD Officer Sal Ramirez said.

When the mother came out, the SUV was gone, along with the child.

The 911 call came in about 2:50 p.m., Ramirez said.

The SUV, with the child inside, was found parked near the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Lake Street about 5:25 p.m., according to the LAPD.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and around 185 pounds, Ramirez said. He was wearing a blue jacket and dark pants.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the suspect was asked to call the LAPD’s Pacific Division at (310) 482-6334 or 911.
