A woman was shot and killed in Lancaster Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Deputies responded about 2:20 a.m. to the 44000 block of Cedar Avenue and found the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A gunman opened fire through the woman’s bedroom window, a news photographer reported from the scene.
The victim’s name was not disclosed, and a description of the shooter was not immediately available.
