A man and woman were shot in West Covina and the man later died at a hospital, authorities said Thursday.
Officers from the West Covina Police Department responded about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday to an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1200 block of South Larimore Avenue, near Michelle Street, and located the two victims, both suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, according to Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was assisting West Covina police with the investigation.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, where the man was pronounced dead and the woman was in stable condition, he said.
A detailed description of the suspected shooter or shooters was not immediately available.
The ages and names of the victims were not disclosed.
