The coroner Monday publicly identified a man killed in a Compton shooting.
Jeffrey Jackson, 37, was a transient, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
The shooting was reported a little before 12:50 a.m. Sunday in the 13000 block of Cookacre Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
No other information was immediately available.
