A transient who allegedly raped a woman in a North Hollywood parking garage after knocking her unconscious, then drove off with her car while she was inside, pleaded not guilty Friday to a raft of felony charges.

Allen Dante Villarreal, 26, is charged with one felony count each of rape of an unconscious person, assault with intent to commit a felony, kidnapping to commit another crime, second-degree robbery and criminal threats, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The charges include allegations of kidnapping and threatening by fear of death.

Villarreal allegedly attacked the woman as she walked to her vehicle in a parking structure on the evening of March 8, said Deputy District Attorney Ranna Jahanshahi.

Villarreal — described as a transient with multiple aliases and ties to several states — was arrested Thursday in Hollywood following a search that included personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division, the U.S. Marshals Service Los Angeles Regional Fugitive Task Force and the District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation Special Enforcement Team.

Villarreal, jailed on $1.2 million bail, could face a potential life term in state prison if convicted as charged, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
