
At least three people were shot Sunday, one fatally, in separate incidents on or near Broadway in South Los Angeles, Los Angeles police said
The first shooting happened about 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 104th Street and Broadway, LAPD Officer Art Rodriguez said.
A man shot and wounded in that attack underwent surgery at a hospital, LAPD Sgt. Sean Dempsey said. His condition was unknown and there was no suspect description.
The second shooting occurred around 5 p.m. in the 200 block of West 61st Street near Broadway, when an unidentified suspect opened fire on a 23-year-old man, leaving him dead at the scene.
At about 6:40 p.m., the LAPD responded to a third shooting, a drive-by assault at the intersection of 75th Street and Broadway that sent a man to a hospital in stable condition. Again, no suspect description was available.
Authorities have not provided information about motives behind the attacks or if the shootings were connected or gang-related.
