A man was shot and killed in Compton, but the circumstances remain unclear, authorities said Sunday.
The shooting was reported at 10:06 p.m. Saturday on the 700 block of South Harris Avenue, said Deputy Erin Liu of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Sheriff’s deputies found the victim lying on the street, suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper torso, Liu said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
