One person, believed to be a man, was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Hollywood (101) Freeway in Hollywood Hills, authorities said Sunday .

The crash was reported at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on the northbound Hollywood Freeway near Highland Avenue in the Cahuenga Pass, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

“The reporting party witnessed a male fly through the air,” Kimball said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

There was no further description of the deceased and no mention of other injuries, Kimball said.

A SigAlert was issued at 8:42 p.m. with northbound lanes closed and traffic diverted off at Highland Avenue, he said. The SigAlert was cancelled at 12:13 a.m., Kimball said.
