Details of what led up to a deadly officer-involved shooting in Beaumont were pending Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred in the 600 block of Michigan Avenue, near Sixth Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s detectives responded to the scene at 10 p.m. Friday to assist Beaumont police with an investigation into the shooting, a sheriff’s department official said.
Authorities blocked off the 600 block of Michigan Avenue for the investigation, the sheriff’s department said.
The name of the suspect was not disclosed.
