A man was hospitalized Friday morning with a leg wound he suffered in a shooting in Pomona, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of La Verne and Towne avenues about 11:50 p.m. Thursday, according to the Pomona Police Department.
The victim told detectives the suspect pulled up alongside him on a scooter and the two began arguing, then shots were fired and one bullet struck the victim in a thigh, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said. His name was not released.
Detectives were interviewing witnesses, but a detailed description of the shooter was not immediately available.
