A 30-year-old Riverside man with a history of mental illness and a developmental disability was sought Tuesday morning by authorities after he ran off and missed a recent non-criminal court appearance.
Jeremy Jennings was on his way to court Thursday about 1:15 p.m. when he bolted from the vehicle he was riding in and ran northbound on Main Street toward Market Street, according to the Riverside Police Department.
Jennings is black, 5 feet 11, 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray Marvel t-shirt, tan pants and orange sandals, police said.
Police said Jennings has a history of running from police or authorities as a fear/anxiety response but is not violent and has no criminal history.
He has been known to walk into traffic and appears to be unaware of danger or hazards and has limited ability to care for himself, police said.
Jennings has previously been reported missing and was later found in Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris and Hemet, police said.
Anyone with information on Jennings whereabouts was asked to call the Riverside Police Department’s Public Safety Communications Center at 951-354-2007.
