A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on the Harbor (110) Freeway in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles, authorities said Tuesday.
The pedestrian was described as a man in his mid-to-late 30s, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
The crash was reported at 9:57 p.m. Monday on the southbound Harbor Freeway at El Segundo Boulevard, California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi said.
A pickup truck was ordered collected as evidence, the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued at 10:10 p.m. shutting down all southbound lanes at the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway but the express lanes and lanes 1 and 2 were reopened at 10:42 p.m., Polizzi said. All lanes were reopened at 12:37 a.m.
The gender and age of the deceased was not available nor was how they came to be on the freeway, he said.
