The body of a man was found in a burned out structure behind a home in La Canada Flintridge Tuesday morning.
Firefighters and deputies responded to a home in the 4400 block of Rockmere Way about 11:30 p.m. Monday and discovered a rear house fully engulfed in flames, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A knockdown was declared at 12:04 a.m. and a body was later discovered inside the fire-damaged structure, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Multiple broadcast reports indicated the victim was a man, but authorities could not immediately confirm the victim’s gender.
No firefighters were hurt and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
